If children shouldn't be punished for their parents' mistakes, why do women menstruate as a punishment for Eve's original sin?

Genesis 3:16: “Unto the woman he said, I will greatly increase thy sorrows, and thy conceptions. In sorrow shalt thou bring forth children, and thy desire shall be subject to thine husband, and he shall rule over thee.”
Women are the weaker sex and are more susceptible to influence by Satan because of Eve’s sin. We as women are to accept our role of submission and pain of womanhood.
